My keyboard and mouse became eratic...freezing up arbitrarily. After fooling around some, I determined that when I disconnected the power to my cd-burner everything was perfect!

I purchased a new cd-burner, hooked it up.........same thing....everything FROZE. Disconnected the power---everything works!

THEN I was talking to someone having problems with their computer freezing up.

On a whim, I suggested unplugging the cd-burner. THEIR COMPUTER WORKED! NO FREEZING UP!

What gives?????????

Why does connecting the power to the burner (that once worked) freeze my keyboard and mouse??????

Thanks,

John
