How to resolve outlook express password problems?

In outlook express, on windows 98, even though I click remember password it does not hold it after the program closes. I have to enter all the passwords everytime I run Outlook Express. i can only find soloutions for 2000 and XP but am stuck for my system. People have said it is something to do with the registry but I don't know. please please help

You can try by performing a system registry check.

1 Click the Start button, and then click Run

2 In the Open box, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK

If you have files or programs missing from the registry, go to the microsoft site and update you registry.
