How to trouble shoot bios?

I just tried to install aol on it. I stopped before it setup, now the screen is in dos , it says the info award modular bios and plug and play info

the lower screen says

detecting HDD primary master-MAXTOR 71626ap

primary master HDD access mode (LBA) not match with setup

PRESS F1 to cont. , DEL to enter setup

I won't be using this computer much, and It was given to me with no software .

should I just junk it? HELP!!!!!!!!

You could if you want to but it seem to me the bios need an update I would recommend you to try and update the Bios first You can get an update information at:
