Why isnt my dvdrom working?

Hi, my name is Terry. 2 weeks ago, I got a virus on my laptop because I borrowed my friend's game to install. After I installed it, my origanal DVD-ROM disappeared for some reason.I tried my recover disc to delete all the staff but it still not there. But I can use it before the computer started. Can u tell me how to fix it please.

First you need to get an antivirus Then you should reinstall the drivers for the dvd rom
