I've been having a problem that is driving me crazy. Sometimes my computer screen goes blank (actually, a nice shade of lavender)...when it does, I have to turn my computer off manually (not good) scandisk, reactivate my desktop screen, restart, and log back on to the internet. It happens when I click my mouse to send email, or click to reply to a message in a yahoo group, or sometimes logging off a website....things of that nature. Sometimes, I can go all evening without a problem...other times it happens. I think it even happened once when I wasn't on the internet. Can you help me?! Thanks...

Heres what I would, open the tower and remove the video card.

Blow out the slot with compress air to clean it.

Than insert the card again.

Dirt can be a possibility of corruption.

Also, it can be simple case of wear and tear.

You may need a new one.

Check all all connections, mix signols is another possibility.
