I have 256M of Rambus rd ram memory in a dell computer. I want to add more memory. I know rd memory needs to be added in matched pairs. My question is; can I add two 256M to slots 3 and 4 and leave the original two 128M in slots 1 and 2 without any troubles? Also are there any suggestions on memory brands?

THE ANSWER IS YES YOU CAN ADDED.

BUT THERE ARE PROBLEMS MIXING MEMORY SOME COMPUTER SYSTEM DO NOT SUPPORT EVERY TYPE OF MEMORY AND IT CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS TO YOUR MOTHERBOARD 256 MB OF MEMORY IS ENOUGH FOR ANY COMPUTER SYSTEM UNLESS YOU HAVE A SERVER THAT NEEDS MORE THAN THAT BEFORE YOU INSTALL MAKE SURE YOUR DELL SUPPORTS THE TYPE OF MEMORY IF THE COMPUTER DOES ACCEPT IT THAN YOU WILL HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH MEMORY.
