I recently received my new custom built computer with no operating system installed. After partitioning the hard drive and formatting it,i find that it wont let me install the operating system. At the setup prompt, when the scandisk normally runs,it starts to run and then i get a "out of memory" error message. This computer has 256mb pc2100 ddr memory and i even changed it to make sure the memory was ok.Ive set up many new and used computer operating systems and have never had this problem before.Any idea what might be wrong?

You must check the requirments of the Operating system.

Be sure that the harddrive has enough space and tyhat it meets the requirmants for the OS.

Also the MB(memory} requirments.

And than doudle check your computer setup.

It is possible that you might of punch in the wrong amount memory requirments.

Remember you got a "out of memory" error message.
