1 AN EASY SOLUTION TO FIND THIS IS INFO WITHOUT TO MUCH TROUBLE IS BY DETERMINING WHAT KIND OF CONNECTION TO THE INTERNET DO YOU HAVE.

A IF YOU HAVE DIAL UP SERVICE MEANING REACHING THE INTERNET BY YOUR PHONE LINE YOUR MAXIMUM SPEED IS 56 KILOBITES OTHER SERVICES SUCH AS DSL OR CABLE MODEMS PROVIDES SPEEDS UP TOO 500 KILOBITES

B A TECHNICAL WAY TO CHECK YOUR SPEED IS WHEN YOUR USING THE INTERNET AN ICON APPEARS ON YOUR TASK BAR IN THE LOWER RIGHT CORNER THE ICON IS TO SMALL MONITORS AND OCCASIONALLY THE SCREEN LIGHTS UP INDICATING YOUR ONLINE DOUBLE CLICK THAT ICON AND A SMALL WINDOW WILL APPEAR SAYING HOW FAST IS YOUR CURRENT CONNECTION, WHETHER YOUR CONNECTED OR NOT, THERES ALSO A DETAILS TAB IN THAT SAME WINDOW THAT WILL GIVE YOU MORE INFORMATION SUCH AS WHAT KIND OF MODEM YOU HAVE, THE ADDRESSES USED BY YOUR COMPUTER AND YOUR INTERNET PROVIDER.
