What is worm?

i found a folder called Messenger1234. there was a read me file that says that it was a worm who wont damage but would spread. there is also instructions how to remove it. idont really trust worms so im wondering how do i remove this thing from my pc. thanks.

I had a similar problem on a friends computer Safest thing to do would be to download McAfee from their website www.mcafee.com (they have a fully functional trial version), install it and have it scan your computer for virus.

If it doesn't find it then go ahead and follow the 1ReadMe.txt for removal instructions.

I followed the second method on my friends computer which got the job done and the computer is doing fine now :o)
