How can I fix ths mouse problem?

HOW CAN I FIX THIS MOUSE PROBLEM? I've had two problems: once, when the mouse wouldn't work at all and the pointer just stuck where it was on the screen; another time, when it would only move the pointer very jerkily and erratically.
