I have a C drive and an H drive. What is the H drive?

Your hard drive within your computer is compressed Compressing a computer hard drive does allow you to get more information on a drive yet at the same time requires an area (known as H partition) to be created for files which will not work compressed (H drive being the portion of the hard drive that is not compressed)
