I have xp-professional installed and had install a hp cd-r-rw recorder that I found would not run on this system because a driver for xp was not available for it at the time.

I removed the cd-r-rw hp9300 recorder and the software and drivers that came with it. I get a pop-up on the tool bar everytime the computor is booted on that says (cdrecording software will cause windows to become unstable windows has prevented these drivers from loading)there are no drivers installed for this unit and I hav removed the recorder from the system I have to close this pop-up or go into help which is no help on removing this anoying pop-up . What do I need to do to turn it off . I'm computor savy.

Thank you for your help
