WHY DOES THE PATH OR INTERNET ADDRESS SHOWS AS INCORRECT?

Ther is something that keeps saying the path or internet address is incorrect. What does this mean?

1 MAKE SURE THE SPELLING IS CORRECT OF THE PERSON'S EMAIL ADDRESS OR THE WEB SITE.

2 MAKE SURE IF IT IS (.COM,.ORG NET) THIS IS THE PATH OF THE URL

3 IF ANY OF THESE DONT WORK THE EMAIL ADDRESS OR WEBSITE MAY NO LONGER EXIST AND YOUR BROWSER IS UNABLE TO FIND IT.
