We have recently set up a domain using active directory for a new system we're implementing under Windows 2000. I've set up two client computers that connect to the domain. When a user logs onto a client for the first time it can take up to 5 or 6 minutes for that user to log on to the computer. No errors or anything it just takes a while and finally logs in and works perfectly.

I'm trying to figure out why this takes so long, how can I reduce the time and what things should I be checking?

Thank you for your help
