Hi,

I had a PIII machine with windows 2000 Pro. Operating system. I purchased a P4, now what I want is to transfer my old hard disk to this new pc so that I do not have to install operating system and the other software again.

What I did is I took out the hard disk and put it in the new PC with another motherboard and processor when I started the system it gave me an error with a blue screen saying my operating system is corrupted or stuff like that. But the operating system is working fine and also the hard disk, which I checked it again in the old PC.

Now my question is that, is there any thing I can do to install this hard drive in the new PC and I should not have to install the operating system again?
