I keep getting pornography pop up windows. This is happening not while I am on the internet but after I am no longer using the computer. When I come back to the computer the windows are on my monitor. We have small children and this is a great concern. I assume there must be something on my computer to let them do this. Any suggestions?

The only way not to allow those pop-ups is to install blocking software

There are free and paid software available on the web to eliminate them

Free to download:

No Ads by South Bay Software (free): http://www.southbaypc.com/NoAds/

Surf in Peace by Icon Labs (free): http://www.iconlabs.net/sip.html

Pow! by Analog (free): http://www.analogx.com/contents/download/network/pow.htm

SafeWeb (free; can be set to handle pop-ups too): https://www.safeweb.com/
