I have a problem with a 3.5" floppy drive. It has power and is listed in the setup as drive a:. It won't read data from a disk. The drive acts like it is trying but fails. A message may appear that the disk is unformatted, but am unable to format the disk. I did exchange the drive with another, but still had the same problem. Any suggestions??

Click on my computer and right click on Floppy.

check the settings, somthing may be wrong.

Also, It sounds like to me that you have a bad floppy or the file was not copy correctly.

It can not be formatted.

it is possible that you may have copied the file as a shortcut and not the whole file itself.

It happens.
