My mouse button settings are not stored between reboots on my notebook.

I have a Sony VAIO notebook with Windows 2000 (includes all updates) and a MS Intellimouse Optical USB mouse.

When I set it to use the default button configure from the mouse control panel everything works fine - scroll on wheel, explorer back/forward on the correct button etc.

After a reboot the 'default' are lost and I have a 2 button mouse with scroll wheel only.

Any Suggestions?
