I have been finding shortcuts on my desktop that I did not place there. I am assuming it is from something I downloaded from the internet and it is putting these icons on my PC. I know how to get rid of them, but I want to know how can I determine (simply) the source of my pain. Is there any way to determine how they are getting onto my system? The icons seem to be different each time I sign on. I would rather delete the downloaded item rather than doing daily maintenance on my desktop.

Thanks guys!

Dave
