I reformatted my HD. Then I installed Windows 98 SE. The installation appeared to work properly. After restart, I tried to install my other software, such as video card (however, there are several others). The software seems to install properly, however upon reboot when windows is updating her driver, she stops and asks me to put in my Windows 98 SE cd. Then it asks me to find the path for certain files. I have been told by others that it has something to do with CAB files. I am at a lost. I am just been told it is how I am installing windows.

So, can someone tell me if it is the CAB files?

What correct steps should I take to install windows?

Any advice that anyone can give me, would be welcome
