Whenever I try to lock a 4 second DirectSound buffer, it only locks half of what I want it to (2 seconds). They are all 16 bits per sample, 44kHz, and 2 channels. When I try to write to it, it gives an access violation. Does anyone know why this is?

I use Borland C++ Builder 3 Pro and DX 7 API.

Thanks very much for your help.
