I like to leave the computer on, so I use the energy saving settings in Window98 power management. The screen shuts down. It goes to standby (or so it says!), but I think the disk drives remain on no matter what I set for that. The power light used to blink to show it was shut down, but now it just stays on indefinitely. Is this because I now have cable broadband connection? Will I have to turn it off manually?

Thank you for your help! Pat Klemme

In power managment you are able to controlthe timing of the system.

In your power scheme you will see Turn off hard disk.

You probably have on NEVER.

Change it to the amount of hours you want it to turn.

prefably the same time as your monitor.

That should ease your problem.
