To do this you have to obtain the new hp scanjet 3300c scanning software for windows ME from hewlett packard.

steps:

1 insert the hp 3300c Precision Scan LT Software cd-rom in the drive, and then click exit when the usb bios enable fail error appears.

2.Open windows explorer Do not try to navigate through the my computer folder because this causes setup.exe on the root drive of the cd to start, which produces the usb bios enable fail error message.

3 click the plus sign( ) to the left of the cd rom drive to expand the contents of the hp cd-rom.

4 click the English folder in the left pane.

5 double-click the setup.exe file that is located in this folder, and follow the steps to install the software.

6 Download and install the hp precisionscan LT v3.0 update patch (sj514en.exe), which you can download from hp website: http://www.hp.com/cposupport/swindexes/hpscanjet318408 swen>html

7 restart your computer.
