How do i erase the history file in IE6.0?

I am unable to "clear" history in IE6.0 , either directly or by using Norton's Cleam sweep.

File continues to show as a 500KB file.

Could this file be protected somehow in my set-up?

If "clear history" tab is not werking you can manually delete all files in that folder.

if you cannot delete them manually then turn the "days to keep history" tab to 0 and wait one day to see if they have been erased and i dont think you can protect the history,
