Will it recogonize the second hard drive

i recently installed a 60 gig second hard drive on an older computor running win 98. I now have a new dell running win xp home edition. If i remove the second hard drive from the old computor and install it in the new Dell will win xp recogonize the second hard drive without reformating it etc. ?

The new Dell computer should recognize the new harddrive without reformating it as long as the Operating systems information from the old computer are not loaded on that hard drive Other then that it should work just as good Tip(just make sure that the jumper setting are set correctly when the hard drive is installed)
