Can you have file extensions greater than three?


Can I have file extensions greater than three characters?


This question was answered on April 16, 2003. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.

Microsoft DOS and Microsoft Windows has support for only a three file extension Users Running Windows 95 or higher can use long file names, however the extension still can only be three characters
