The speakers on my computer are working but they sound really scratchy. Do I need to get new speakers or something?

Cause:

Hardware or interference issue.

Solution:

Are there any other devices around the speakers or wires for the speakers? Electric Magnetic Interference can cause poor audio, try moving your speakers and wires around and away from other devices.

Especially if you have recently added any new cards within a desktop computer attempt to move the card to another location within the computer Cards within the computer can also cause Electric Magnetic Interference.

Finally verify that you are not encountering a hardware issue with the speakers by trying another pair of computer speakers.
