I think that there is some kind of interference with cell phones when I'm on the computer. I'll just be sitting there and I can hear parts of people's conversations. How can I fix this?

It is possible for computer speakers to pickup cordless devices and transmit them through the speakers Generally when this occurs you will be able to hear individuals over your speakers

To resolve issue ensure that your computer case is completely closed and that there are no large openings anywhere on the computer

Verify your computer speaker wires have no cuts openings in them

Attempt to move the sound card to another PCI or ISA slot.
