I recently installed a network, using my desktop as the host and my laptop as the only other computer on the network. I am using WIN XP on both. After some trial and error, and a call to the nice people at LinkSys, I have the network running.

I also have a DSL connection to Qwest on my desktop. The modem is an Intel ProDSL 2100. I set up the desktop as the 'host' for internet access on the laptop and the connection shows active and connected, but IE on my laptop will not access any web sites. All come back with a 'Page not found' message. I have looked at IE setting on both, and cannot see where the problem is. I am sure that there is a setting or pointer that I am missing, but can't seem to find it. Can you help?
