i just recently attempted to install 128mb of memory, but it didn't work out properly. I got a message saying that my computer is not boot because of the fatal changes that may be due to the installation of memory. now, my memory is compatable with the model -- i checked it out, and pc100/133 is approved for this type of sony model. i also attempted to take out the old memory and leave the new memory in, but that didn't work at all. my computer just started beeping. so, what do you think the problem would be? do i need to update the bios? and if so, how should i do it? i need help?

You do need to update the bios in order to do so you must go the motherboard manufacturer site and update the bios from there what is the brand of your motherboard for example if your motherboard brand is asus then you go to their website such as www.asus.com and from there there a link you can update the boios After you updates the bios restart the computer to take a affect
