Why is my hard drive having a problem

my laptop is showing a message that says Not ready reading drive C Aboru? Retry? Ignore, Fail? Is my hard drive shot. If so, is it fixable?

It sounds to be that you may have some type of error with your hard drive you may want to reboot your computer from the a drive or d drive Go to the setup screen and change the boot sequence
