Within an hour of booting the computer, the mouse cursor begins to leave a trail of faded color pixels. I can refresh the screen and erase all the trails, but whenever I move the mouse the problem begins again. I can reboot for a very temporary fix. But soon, it begins again. The color of the trails intensify as time goes on. (I have tried a different mouse, but that did not solve the problem. I have tried different display setting to no avail.) Is it possibly the video card?

Big chances is that it can be one out of two problems 1 it could be the video card is not working properly or two it could be a problem with your monitor The easiest way to determin which one it is by swtiching parts with another computer to see which one is the trouble maker You may want to update your monitor or your video card as well to check if there are any updates you can easily go to the microsoft website and check out the windows update and then look that the drivers update that would be the easiest thing to do first If that doesn;t solve your problem then consider doing my first option so you may find out which one is the trouble maker.
