Built-in modem on my PC won't connect with server. Getting error message from Wizard that my modem can't be reached. Diagnostic on PC Doctor says that modem is ok. Device Manager says that modem is connected to COM3 socket, however this socket is not listed on Systems Information!

Please reply text only, as I am having to use an Amstrad e-mailer

Try changing the setting, change to a different com port You can do this in device manager by highlighting it and clicking properties It sounds that there might be an IRQ conflict.
