I installed CD Clone onto my PC. Rebooted and noticed that my dvd-r and cd-rom drives were missing from my computer. I talked to a friend and he said that there might be a virus that deletes the drive from the registry. I have edited the registry before, so I know what not to do..... but I need to know what to look for to correct this proble,. I have tried to un-install and reboot, but they are still not showing up. HELP PLEASE!!!

Thank you

Anthony

Maybe it is works of a virus but lets not go to over board with that now What you might want to do is run an add hardware in your control panel If these drives didn't come with your computer you might want to use there installation cd If they did come with your computer then your might want to check if you have a device driver cd because that will have the info for your computer to detect the cd drives If you still have a problem and if you cannot use your cd drive then you might want to try opening up your computer and make sure that all the wires are connected and installed in the right socket
