When I want to backup something to my CD-RW drive, is there anyway to do it without going through Roxio?

Yes u can backup without going through Roxio you can use another program such as nero to backup your harddrive if you have a second harddrive mind as well backup up all your data through your second harddrive if the files are short enough you can backup to your floppy drive
