Problem with Office 2000

Using XP and Office 2000, in Word, I start a letter Dear so and so: or ,

and after punctuation get a message that Word is closing and send error message to Microsoft. Without punctuation, works fine. Or if we add two or three lines and then return to add punctuation, it works.

I uninstalled Office and all traces of Office, reinstalled, and no fix. I also added templates thinking it was trying to help type a letter but couldn't fix it. Worked fine for 6 months and then suddenly started this poblem.

I had that same problem, my Office 2000 acting weird then I notice that is not only affecting Offcie 2000 but others programs Finally a figure out that it was a virus that is causing this problem This is what I did:

1 Update and download patches from Microsoft website, install them all on your computer.

2 Update my your antivirus and scan for virus also download the removal warm blaster from symantec.

and after doing this and rebooting my symantec found that virus and eliminate it completely and my problem was solve.
