My computer just shutdown while it was running perfectly fine and will not turn back on. What could cause this to happen? Could it just be that my powersupply unit is screwed or have I some how damaged my motherboard?

I think the cause of this situation is that your powersupply has been damage and you have to purchase a new one It most likely has nothing to do with the motherboard.
