Won't read the cd

i have a HP cd r/w and creative dvd bouth have been work up to now. heres the porblem the drives work with any disk i put in but up to a few days ago there have been two cd disks that are not. now thay have worked before and iv tryed them on outher computers and thay work on there ok as well (btw there are not copys or burned) , iv checked the cd drives with outher cds to check its not the drives and thay work fine. the cds im trying to git to work are diablo2 and AvP2 there are bouth new with not a scrath on them , now heres the funny bit thay where allready installed but you need the cd to play them but when i put in the cd such as diablo2 the install or play screen comes up so i click play then it says plz put in you diablo2 cd "retry / cancel" i click retry and it keeps asking the same thing , AvP2 dose not even come up at all but bouth of them when i put the cd in will let me install it back in but not to play them...can someone help me plz im going nuts on this.

If you way you were able to instal the cd into the computer but yet you cannot play with the cd you can always extract the information of the cd into a sepertae file on your computer and instead of running your game from the cd you can run it from the file just make sure that your cd instalation also installed on that file as well so this plan can work another thing you can try that i have seen work before you can make a copy of the game to a regualar cd-r and see if the game works with the cd-r i seen that method work a couple of times see if that works out for you
