What is install the printer itself?

When I boot up XP reports that it has found new equipment, my HP LaserJet Printer, Model 1200 series. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software 3 times. Still get this message when I boot. What can I do to get rid of this found new equipment message?

What you need to do is go to the start menu the printer click on add printer follow the wizard and you should not receive the message anymore
