What's reason for the hollow sound?

I have a Sound Blaster Audigy w/TV out capability. When I go watch tv the sound is hollow sounding. I have tried to adjust settings etc. but no luck in eliminating the hollow sound. Is it my card or something else? All equipment is brand new.

The problem may be you speakers Borrow someone else's speaker and see if the same problem occurs.
