I have a compaq armada 4120, it has been formated but I can't reload windows. I have a floppy drive but no cd-rom. I have an external cd-rom but it isn't recognized.

Because you have no CD ROM, you will not be able to load windows Since you have no Operating System installed, then there are no drivers to recognize the external CD ROM.

What you will need to do is possibly purchase an internal CD ROM for your PC so that you will be able to install a Windows Operating System on your PC.

The other option which may be a long shot (literally), if you are trying to avoid purchasing a CD ROM, is to have the installation CD copied to a floppy disk so that you will be able to install the Operating System for your PC and the drivers for your external CD ROM.
