Floppy or cd won't work

niether my floppy nor cd drive can read any disks,have checked the cables and bios

I suggest that if this is a reletivly new computer then call the manufacture of your computer and let them know of the problem because if have checked the wires and the bios at this point it has to be a manufacture error.
