My system crashes out of any media related program (such as games, or winamp) and restarts when using non-media related programs (such as ms word) this isn't always the case, as some games cause my comp to restart, and some basic programs crash without warning. I just recently upgraded from a Celeron 466 to an AMD 1800+ and bought a new tower for it. I have narrowed down the problem to either 1) my mother board 2) my power supply, as everything else in my system remained unchanged. I did format my hard drive after upgrading, and all the proper drivers are installed on my system.
Short of buying a new motherboard and power supply, is there anything I can do, or is there another problem that I haven't thought of yet?
Thanks,
Stephen

The main reason I think of how your computer has its problems, is because you went from and old cpu to a brand newone maybe you have the wrong setting or power supply that makes the system bus overload or underload
