What virus now?

I've done a format on this computer . fresh start so i thought. installed winME and norton 2003. while doing a virus scan the computer reboots. happens time and time again when it gets to the windows /options/install files. it had the sim 32. virus and was there for almost a month before i got call. was easier to format. why would it now after another format not complete the scan and reboot . it also happened to aol and other programs.

If you try to format the hard disk drive again, make sure that you delete the partition as well It really isn't a clean install unless the partition was removed as well Some virus's could damage partitions so it would be a good place to start.
