Sometimes when I boot my laptop. the cursor remains frozen in the center of the screen. I usually have to reboot several times before the cursor becomes active.

Also, when booting up, I get a black screen with nothing. I have to alt, ctrl, delete or holding down the power button.

I've run scan disk and also Nortons anti-virus utility to no avail. What can I do?

You might have to put more memory into your system this might be causeing the your laptop to be frezzing up like this and also the cause of you needing for you to have to use alt, ctrl, delete all the time.
