How do I run CHKDSK?

Hello,

I have a problem with a blue screen. I can't access Windows at all not even by safe mode or command prompt as it will only lead back to the blue screen. Message : STOP : 0x00000024

and they asked me to run CHKDSK /f . The only problem is that i do not know how. I tried using a bootdisk but all i get is

A:/>

So how do i access 'RUN' in order to use CHKDSK ????

At the A:/> prompt type c: and enter this should get you to the C:/> At the c prompt type the command CHDSK /f this should work.
