im trying to defrag my computeer what does it mean when it says my drive c is locked by a disk utilty and how do i unlock it thank u

This should help you with your problem if you don't have any access to your C: drive, try deleting your flies this way

To delete the data in the unlocked field, do any of the following:

Highlight the data in the unlocked field, and either click Cut on the Edit menu, click the Cut button on the toolbar, or press CTRL X on the keyboard These commands work on unlocked fields with protect data turned on -or-

Highlight the data in the formula bar and press the DEL key on the keyboard -or-

Remove the data protection while deleting data in the field -or-

Switch to list view to delete the data in the field.
