Referred to you by my cousin, Carole Leach. Under Documents & Settings/Judy/ I am missing folders: Application Data, Local Settings, My Recent Documents, Net Hood, Print Hood, Send to, and Templates. My system will not restore. It gives me an error"application failed to initialize because windows station is shutting down" which has an OK to click in the window, but disappears by itself, I don't click anything. Then it goes thru restoring files and says cannot restore to that date. I've tried 4 different dates. I can see the the folders in a virus scan (Norton), which is zero infected, and in Dell Expert Image in the treeview on the left of that program screen. But I cannot see them on C: local disk drive. In Start, Search, it has C:/Local Hard Drive (which I cannot see in the treeview) and c:/Local Disk Drive (which is what I do see) Dell thinks I have a virus.(?) Help, please.

I think there right and the reason your existing anti virus software is not detecting it is one, it might be an outdated version or two, the virus if too far along and you will have to crash you system
