Wrong ram

I tryed to put pc 133 ram of 128meg in my system it reconized it but computer froze up shortly

after start up. I also tryed to put it in by itself did not run, but when I put one of the old rams

in by itsell in the same slot it ran fine in that slot by itself. the pc 133 ram is a little bigger in size

than the other ram in the computer both are 168 pin dimms is the pc 133 ram the wrong ram

for my system? compaq desk pro 4000. thank you in advance for the help.

The solution the your problem is pretty simple actually Yes i am sorry to tell you that you did purchase the wrong type of ram in a compacts case you have to actually purchase compact specific ram chips in order for your computer to accept it.
