What's the OS?

When new over year ago...when you hit shutdown, it would go thru process and end up with a screen saying "You may shut off system now? or similar

For past 8 months, go to shutdown and it never finishes on screen. we shut it off after we see hard drive light go out....If we don't then it opens next time and has to do the hard drive scan - saying windows was not shut down properly........Help

Tried patches...no solution.. Thanks in advance...

At the shutdown screen use the arrow to select 'Shutdown' The PC was set to another mode.

Wait for the "You may now turn off the Computer" signal.
